Trade discuss Iraq international trade point creation and stresses near the launch

The Ministry of Commerce held a meeting chaired by Hashim Mohammed Hatem, Director General of the Department of foreign economic relations, and in the presence of representatives of Iraqi ministries and private sector bodies to discuss Iraq international trade point creation, to the point of its considerable benefits have significant impact in advancing the economic reality of Iraq, stressing that the launch is coming soon.

And the Ministry statement quoted Hatem said that “creation international trade point in Iraq achieved considerable benefits have significant impact in advancing the economic reality and the openness to the world markets,” he said, adding that “those benefits come through an integrated database of e-commerce in product marketing and bidding, buying and selling and the names of local and foreign companies and trade legislation, shipping, insurance, banks and all related internal and external trade.

The statement added that “Iraq international trade point is soon, leaving only the headquarters of point after we completed the preparation of legislation and mechanism of action and development of financial allocations and provide equipment and personnel competent in this area and to involve them in training courses in the field of commercial transactions and international communications technology.”

The delegation of the Ministry of trade was concluded on 3 September last, visit to the Arabic Republic of Egypt, for training of e-commerce, and all of the activities and services offered by the Egyptian trade point for the business community, in order to move the Egyptian international trade point model and its application in Iraq to create international trade point.

Kadhim said that “the Iraqi economy after its transformation from a centralized to a market economy should be a strong supporter of the private sector and the trade point will work on the development of the sector through increased bilateral trade with the Nations of the world,” saying that “the existence of this point will provide information support for businessmen and investors and open new markets for the private sector and activate the interdependence between partners in the world through the official focal point and facilitate business using modern techniques.
