Tlar: “National Alliance Nominates Mahdi”
“confirmed that the dialogues started between the political blocs of winning and if reached understandings will be chosen as speaker of parliament and his two deputies and the president and two vice presidents, prime minister and his two deputies and vote on them in one basket in the first session. “
Tlar: #1 Article – I hope they don’t wait until next Tuesday to meet but I don’t like the fact that their target is to get it all done in one day. I also like the fact that the NA will present as their unified nominee for PM Mahdi.
~~~
Tlar Continues: What this means is that by the end of the day next Tuesday we should have a new non-sectarian government as long as they can walk in hand in hand, the coalition and the SOL.
If they can do this and form in one day the government, we might even get to see Turki do his thing on July first in order to make sure that the ISX is able to go international and do their thing. It is forming up nicely and definitely coming to the finish line all about the same time. tlar
Tlar Comment – #2 Article Meetings of the NA at Jaafari’s house appears to have born fruit. It appears a nominee has been chosen unanimously from the NA. The nominee as it turns out is Mahdi who is a Shia and held the job of Vice President under Maliki.
Mahdi was the dark horse in all of this and the NA had some detractors that did not want to see Chalabi as the PM. Mahdi was charged with terrorism by Maliki a few years ago when Maliki returned from Washington. Mahdi has no love for Maliki I’m sure.
Both VP’s had accused Maliki publically of being a dictator when Maliki had left the country to pow wow in Washington a few years back. Both VP’s were charged with terrorism against the state upon Maliki’s return. One is still hiding out under a death sentence in Qatar.
Mahdi ran to Sadia Arabia but later made amends with Maliki and the charges were dropped. He returned to his position as Vice President keeping his mouth shut for a couple of years. He has been very quiet in the last year or so until the last couple of months, not saying bad things about Maliki.
Then when the frenzied feeding began, he joined the chorus of voices talking out against Maliki. The articles state Mahdi was unanimously voted as an acceptable nominee by the NA which I take also includes the SOL.
This is from an unknown source but there exists now 2 different news sources saying the same thing. If true this means that they can now convene parliament and build a non-sectarian government. Mahdi is a non-sectarian Shia trained in economics in France. ~ Tlar
