    [BGG] 2) If the SLC won’t nominate someone (from their own group) other than Maliki the SLC will put forward Chalibi as their nominee (out of the NA and a possible win).

I believe this to be “brinksmanship” – Chalibiis so bad this may scare the SLC into siding with a Shia moderate like Mahdi

    [BGG] 3) Maliki asked al-Jubouri to “to sign a paper that supports the candidate of state law for the post of prime minister.” – I have pointed out, the SLC supported al-Jubouri’s Speaker nomination because they have been able to manipulate him in the past.
